Class Etiquette
– The classes are offered by a variety of instructors. Each teacher brings their own unique style and expression of both the physical and spiritual aspects of the asana practice. Each student is encouraged to always work at their own pace and to choose classes that best suit their needs/abilities.
– Please do not wear perfume when coming to the yoga studio. Even if your perfume is “natural” or made from essential oils – please refrain from applying before yoga class.
Essential oils are used in some classes to purify the space and deepen your state of calm and relaxation. Please let us know if that will be a problem for you.
– Please arrive to class 10-15 minutes early to give yourself time to align your attitude in preparation for the class and to settle in. Please note: the studio door is locked until 15 min. prior to class or if there is another class before yours. Please respect others need for calm and privacy.
– Please try to eat 2 hrs before your practice. Coming to class with a full stomach will be very uncomfortable for you. It is best to eat lightly before class, and more after class.
– Hydrate before your yoga class with at least one full glass of water.
– The studio is kept very warm and is not air conditioned in the summer. This is to help you sweat and purify and also to keep your muscles safe and warm. Dress accordingly. Layers are always a good idea.
